Apple’s Translate Application allows users to translate from one language to another. It is also a useful way to hold conversations with people who speak other languages. Sometimes you need to delete your translation history. To do this follow the steps below:
- Open Translate app.
- On the main screen, swipe downwards to see the translation history.
- Swipe from right to left on the entry you want to delete. Delete and Favorite option will appear on the right side.
- In order to delete the entry, tap on Delete.
You can’t see your prior translations on the main screen of the Translate app. To access the translation history you should swipe downwards.
Note that the app doesn’t allow users to clear the current translation, but if you don’t use the app for a while, it will disappear. If deleting that initial translation is important to you, one thing you could do is typing in a sentence you don’t mind not being able to delete. This changes the initial translation to something unimportant. Then to delete the prior translations, follow the steps above.
